In the midway Shanti falls sick and Deep and Rishi take her to the hospital. When they reach the destination they find Rishi there and they participate in the contest to their fullest. Deep and Neel go to attend the competition with a broken heart accompanied with Shanti and Preeti. He failed to do so and gets depressed and losses his confidence. Rishi is planning to leave for the airport when Deep tries a lot to refrain him from going. He buys tickets for America on the same day of the Jhankar Beats competition. Rishi eventually got an opportunity and decides to leave the country as soon as possible.
She tries to make Rishi understand about his divorce case and make up with Nicky. Shanti is a composed woman who takes care of all their needs. But soon they start loving him as their younger brother.
Rishi and Deep at first tease him mercilessly. He asks Neel to find a girl in two months or he has to do this of his parents' choice. His father thinks that he is spoiling his life. He likes a girl named Preeti played by Riya Sen but could not gather courage to talk to her. Neel has done management from New York and is a guitarist. Eventually he joins with them to do the campaign. Popularly known as Neel, he is the son of their boss Mr. They meet Indraneel played by Shayan Munshi. They have to do an advertising campaign for a new client. Professionally also Rishi and Deep are under pressure. Actually she comes to lend a helping hand to Shanti and this is a challenge for Deep to tolerate her nagging nature. Deep's mother-in-law played by Shashikala has come to their house to see her daughter Shanti. As a result Rishi is trapped in his own web and has no option but to go through his divorce. Rishi's self-created personal image does not allow him to appear upset or disturbed over any issue. Jhankaar Beats begins with Rishi and Nicky heading for a divorce. Jhankaar Beats is only two months away and right now both of them need to practice hard for the contest and find a guitarist for their band. Though they have been losing the contest for last two years they are still hopeful that they will win it someday. They compete in an annual music contest named Jhankaar Beats. They are particularly obsessed with R.D Burman. On the other hand Rishi and Deep are ardent music lovers. Rishi and his wife Nicky played by Rinke Khanna have problems in their married life due to misunderstandings. They are working in an advertising agency. Rishi played by Rahul Bose is his best friend. They have a daughter Muskaan while Shanti is again expecting. Deep, one of the protagonists played by Sanjay Suri is married to Shanti played by Juhi Chawla. He will respect his co-writer and definitely place them in the credit roll of the film with honour. I am sure that the producer is a sensitive and sensible man.

Any movie is known as the producer’s film and not the writers. After Knowing Preksha’s dilemma Satyanshu Sir (Understanding Cinema Teacher) shared his point of view, “Mehar is the producer of the film. We did not receive a response after sending several messages to Mr. Amrit raj Gupta the director of the new movie neither agreed nor denied the speculation. I want it to be called Preksha and Mehars story because I have contributed equally and the injustice being done to me is unfair and I will not take it lying down”. I am hurt and upset that the script that we (Mehar Chumble) wrote together is being called his and his only. Upon contacting Preksha, her reply was, “ever since the story of the movie was announced it was being called Mehars story. She was also seen fighting with director Amrit Raj Gupta during Bulbul mam’s lecture in the view of the whole class. Preksha malu, a member of the MAWSKITU MIND PRODUCTIONS is screaming just that.
